Ingrid Srinath to take over helm at CIVICUS

Announcing her delight at the appointment, Ingrid Srinath stated,
“I was attracted to this post because of my profound belief in the role civil society plays instigating change in the unequal world we inhabit. The space civil society has created in the areas of human rights and civil society legitimacy, transparency and accountability is significant but can be even greater. I look forward to increasing the reach of civil society and I know that in CIVICUS I will be surrounded by people who can help make this happen.”

A key role of Ingrid will be facilitating and fostering strategic alliances with like-minded entities and individuals to support the mission of CIVICUS as well as encouraging staff and volunteers to collaborate with other organisations in order to champion issues critical to the goals of civil society.
